There is a music theory game that we play in my music studio that students love. It involves sending me (or sometimes a teacher at school) to a desert island!
In ‘Sailaway Teacher’ students practice note values by completing musical maths questions. The teacher waits at the dockside for a sailing boat to arrive and whisk them away! If students get three questions wrong the boat sinks and the teacher is saved.
This digital game is part of a fun music challenge called ‘Monster Mash’. Students help Max the musical detective find the mashed potato eating thief in Monster Town! All the games in it are ideal for young beginner pianists. Find out more here.
