It’s never too late to learn an instrument
Today has been music exam day for my students. They got to show the examiner all the hard work they have done this term (and what a friendly examiner too!)
I also realised today that one of them is in their seventies.
I love teaching adults and over the years have taught a lot of retired learners. They have often learnt as a child and want to return to it, or as in the case of my exam student, took up an instrument as a complete beginner.
Currently my oldest student is in their eighties but I have taught someone approaching their nineties in the past. I hope that if I get to that age I am still able to play! A life without music would be a very sad thing.
Do you have many older students?
