Home is where my piano is

Are you emotionally attached to your musical instrument? I definitely am!

Many years ago my mum and dad came with me to choose the piano I have now. My parents have always been massively supportive of my music education and my mum was musical and played herself.

It was a lovely day out and we spent ages trying all the different pianos – including the ones that were out of price range just to see what they were like!

I think I would still have been attached to my piano anyway, but because mum died not long after, it really has a special connection for me. I have had it for well over 15 years now and couldn’t imagine life without it!

How do you feel about your instrument and is it something you couldn’t be without?
